20+ best smartwatches and fitness trackers for October Prime Day

If you want to bring home a new fitness tracker, Prime Day is a great time to shop.

Now that the weather is getting colder and the leaves are starting to change, you may want to start that jogging program you’ve been waiting for. Or you may choose to go ahead with your New Year’s resolution and start going to the gym. Whatever your plan, there are plenty of smartwatches and fitness trackers already available to help you get going – with brands like Apple, Garmin and Samsung running the show. Fitbit’s performance is currently MIA, but we’re not surprised. The brand usually waits until closer to the event to join the party, although several Google Pixel deals are already available.

We’ll be keeping a tab below on all the best fitness deals during October’s Amazon Prime Day. If you don’t see the clothing you’re looking for on sale, check back often to see the latest updates.

The best of the Apple Watch

Why we love it

Check out our full Apple Watch Series 9 review.

Despite the recent release of the Series 10, the Apple Watch Series 9 was never outdated. You won’t get the slightly larger display and sleep sensor, but you’ll still have the same 2,000-nit brightness, Double Tap feature, and 18 hours of battery life. Not to mention, you’ll save $100 on the Series 9 because it’s no longer Apple’s flashiest toy. Whether you’re upgrading from an old Apple Watch or new to the fruit company’s wearables, you won’t be disappointed.

Best for Samsung Galaxy Watch

Why we love it

Check out our full Galaxy Watch 6 review.

When a new generation begins, we often see prices significantly lower than the previous generation. That’s the case with the Galaxy Watch 6. With the arrival of the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra this summer, the Watch 6 now sits under $200. Ahead of Prime Big Deal Days, you can pick up the 40mm model with Bluetooth for just $195.30, which is a 35% savings and a new record (about $1). It’s only a year old, the sixth generation is still a great watch. It includes sleep tracking, sleep coaching, personalized heart rate monitoring, irregular heart rate alerts, and better battery life than its predecessors, prompting Mashable’s Alex Perry to call it “the king of the Android smartwatch mountain.”

The best of Garmin

Why we love it

Perfect for smaller hands, the Garmin Venu 3S is about .2 inches in diameter and .3 oz lighter than the popular Venu 3. It still offers the same high-quality features, such as a built-in speaker and microphone to take calls, capabilities. music storage, and more health and fitness tools and information. The only real difference besides the size is that the 3S has a slightly shorter battery life (about 10 days in smartwatch mode versus 3 days of 14), but it still blows the Apple Watch’s battery out of the water. It’s normally $449.99, but you can save $50 ahead of the October Prime event and get it for just $399.99. That’s just a few bucks from its all-time low.

Best of Google

Why we love it

The Google Pixel Watch 3 just dropped in Aug., making this discount at Amazon ahead of Prime Big Deal Days even bigger. This is the first time the Pixel Watch has offered a larger case, which Mashable Tech Editor Kim Gedeon says is “awesome.” Its battery life is generally the same as its predecessor, but the Pixel Watch 3’s refreshed design may let you squeeze a little more out of it. It also has a host of software updates, including streamlined tools, AI-powered feature tracking, a new Morning Brief feature via Fitbit, and updated media controls.
